As part of the modernization of the public catering system, KAMAZ is starting cooperation with a new service provider – LLC OMS – Metallurgists’ Catering.
LLC “OMS – Metallurgists’ Catering” will replace the company iFCM Group, which worked with “KAMAZ” for 17 years. The selection of the candidate for the role of public catering operator was carried out based on 13 criteria. Special attention was paid to qualitative criteria.
“OMS – Nutrition for Metallurgists” has presented a comprehensive program for modernizing the public catering system at “KAMAZ.” The key change will be the transition to a centralized model of meal preparation. This decision will allow maintaining a unified standard of food quality in all canteens and buffets of the automotive giant.
The new operator plans to implement lean manufacturing technologies in the kitchen, as well as a number of service solutions aimed at improving the convenience and accessibility of food for Kamaz employees. For example, through a pre-order system, workers will be able to select and reserve dishes in advance via digital services, reducing wait times during lunch breaks. The range of semi-finished products of own production will be expanded in the buffets.
To-go format showcases will appear on all main flows, providing the opportunity to quickly purchase ready-to-go food. A program for the development of a vending machine network offering first courses will be implemented. Own coffee shops with hot drinks and related products will open in rest and waiting areas.
The new catering service provider has experience working at major Russian metallurgical enterprises. Cooperation with KAMAZ will begin on July 27, immediately after the corporate vacation.
