In June, prices in 80 regions rose faster than in May. This was mainly due to one-time factors.
In June, food products became more expensive in most Russian regions. This was mainly due to an increase in prices for fruit and vegetable products. In April–May, vegetables and fruits were getting cheaper more than the seasonal norm, and in June there was a correction.
In the group of non-food products, the main cause of price increases was the rise in prices for gasoline and diesel fuel due to reduced production and temporary supply disruptions. Excluding petroleum products, non-food goods on average became cheaper in almost 40 regions.
Prices for services rose more slowly in more than half of the regions compared to May, and in some regions prices even decreased on average. The main reason for this was a more restrained demand for domestic tourism. However, overall, services are still becoming more expensive quite rapidly.
The monetary policy of the Bank of Russia will continue to be aimed at achieving sustainably low inflation in all regions of the country.
