Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak made a working trip to the Samara region.
As part of the visit, Alexander Novak toured the AvtoVAZ enterprise, where he inspected the cast iron casting production, robotic pressing and welding lines for “Granta” cars, as well as the assembly line for “Vesta” cars. The Deputy Prime Minister familiarized himself with the company’s museum exhibition and participated in a test drive of the manufactured products. During discussions with the workforce, issues of digitalization, robotization, implementation of new technological solutions, and prospects for new types of fuel for cars were addressed.
Alexander Novak took part in the award ceremony for AvtoVAZ employees, presenting letters of gratitude, certificates of honor, and medals, timed to the 60th anniversary of the enterprise’s founding. The Deputy Prime Minister read out the greeting from Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and addressed the employees with a welcoming speech in which he noted: “The current AvtoVAZ team carefully preserves the traditions of constructive work and confidently looks to the future. You not only maintain leadership in the market but also develop new models, implement modern solutions, and strengthen the country’s technological sovereignty. Your products are in demand both in peacetime and in the fulfillment of the most important state tasks. I wish you new manufacturing successes, good health, happiness, and prosperity.”
In addition, there was a working meeting between Alexander Novak and the Governor of the Samara Region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev. The parties discussed the socio-economic development of the region and measures to increase its investment attractiveness.
Special attention was paid to the issues of fuel supply in the region: the creation of necessary reserves of petroleum products, the restructuring of logistics chains, and the coordination of actions between federal and regional authorities to stabilize the situation in the regional fuel market.
