The Analytical Center under the Government has expanded its involvement in key government projects – from the digitalization of public services to the implementation of artificial intelligence. This decision was made by the Supervisory Board of the Analytical Center under the Government, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister – Head of the Government Office Dmitry Grigorenko. The meeting summarized the organization’s results for 2025 and approved 26 priority areas of activity for 2026 and prospects until 2028.
“Today, the Government is building a modern digital model of public administration. It covers both the interaction between government agencies themselves and the provision of services to citizens and organizations. This allows for faster managerial decision-making, reduction of administrative procedures, and improvement in the quality of public services. To ensure such projects are effective, it is important to see their real impact and timely identify risks. We address this task, among other ways, through operational analytics prepared on the platform of the Analytical Center,” said Dmitry Grigorenko.
Among the priority areas of activity for 2026 is the digital transformation of public services, including mass socially significant services. For this purpose, a comprehensive plan for optimizing services has been approved. The work already carried out has allowed reducing the time required to provide 41 public services and services by a total of 462 days, decreasing the number of required documents by 200 items for 43 services, and also reducing the number of mandatory in-person visits for 13 services.
Another promising direction was the digitalization of monitoring the achievement of national goals. The analytical center organized the accounting of the unified plan’s indicators, converted the calculation methodologies into digital format for automatic calculation, and also created tools based on artificial intelligence to search for and verify the relationships between the unified plan’s activities and its indicators.
Among the priorities was also named the application of artificial intelligence technologies in the public administration system. In particular, the Artificial Intelligence Development Center under the Government, operating at the Analytical Center platform, launched a pilot project for implementing AI services in the work of the Government Apparatus. In addition, the “Digital Region” portal organizes the collection of information on implemented and operated AI solutions of Russian regions, and also provides support for the creation of federal AI services.
The analytical center is also supporting a project for training top-level specialists in the field of information technology and artificial intelligence. In 2025, grants for implementing new educational programs were awarded to more than 40 universities, and the number of students enrolled in these programs exceeded 8,000 people.
It was noted that the Analytical Center develops its own digital solutions – information systems, analytical dashboards, and data catalogs that are used in the work of federal government bodies.
“During the reporting period alone, more than 9,500 expert and analytical materials were prepared as part of the assigned tasks, over 1,700 events were held, and more than 90 information panels were developed or supported,” reported Konstantin Kalinin, head of the Analytical Center.
The Supervisory Board of the Analytical Center includes members of the Government, statesmen, scientists, and experts. In-person meetings are held annually.
