As part of the national plan for the implementation of artificial intelligence, performance indicators have been prepared for 19 key industries. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister – Head of the Government Office Dmitry Grigorenko following the second meeting of the interdepartmental commission on the development of artificial intelligence technologies.
“Currently, AI implementation indicators have been developed for 19 key industries. This covers almost the entire economic circuit—from finance and public administration to tourism and agriculture. When forming the indicators, we focus on real effects, including profit and revenue growth. We largely rely on the expertise of regions and businesses. More than 350 agencies and organizations participate in the discussion of these indicators,” said Dmitry Grigorenko.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Government, together with the heads of regions, to develop a national plan for the implementation of artificial intelligence across the entire country, taking into account the tasks of industries and federal subjects.
Work on the national plan for AI implementation is carried out in several stages. More than 500 indicators have been received from federal authorities and organizations. Based on these, consolidated projects for AI implementation have been formed.
The Interdepartmental Commission on AI Technology Development was established by a decree of the President of Russia with the purpose of coordinating and monitoring activities related to the development of AI technologies and their implementation in economic sectors, the social sphere, and public administration. The co-chairs of the commission are Deputy Prime Minister – Head of the Government Office Dmitry Grigorenko and Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of Russia Maxim Oreshkin.
