Kyiv, July 16 /Xinhua/ — The bodies of 501 deceased were returned to Ukraine on Thursday as part of repatriation efforts. This was reported on Telegram by the Coordination Headquarters for Prisoner of War Affairs /CHPWA/ of Ukraine.
The identification of the bodies will be carried out by Ukrainian law enforcement agencies in cooperation with expert institutions.
The CSSW thanked the International Committee of the Red Cross for assisting in the repatriation of the remains.
Since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict, Kyiv and Moscow have been regularly exchanging the bodies of the deceased. –0–
