Bishkek, July 15 /Xinhua/ — In January-June 2026, Kyrgyzstan’s gross domestic product (GDP), according to preliminary estimates, amounted to 960 billion soms (about 10.98 billion US dollars) and increased by 11.9 percent compared to the same period last year. This was reported by the country’s National Statistical Committee on Wednesday.
At the same time, the service sector accounted for 50.1 percent of the GDP structure, the commodity production sectors for 33.9 percent, and net taxes on products for 16 percent.
The volume of Kyrgyzstan’s external and mutual trade in goods for January-May 2026 amounted to about 6.3 billion dollars, increasing by 1% compared to January-May 2025. At the same time, exports decreased by 9.3%, while imports increased by 2.8%. –0–
