Important industry and investment projects, prospects for international business cooperation, and infrastructure development plans will be presented to visitors of the Jewish Autonomous Region (JAR) pavilion at the “Far East Street” exhibition, which will take place as part of the Eastern Economic Forum. The exhibition focuses on the region’s tourism, industrial, agricultural, and logistical potential. The exhibition is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Far Eastern Federal District.
“The exhibition ‘Street of the Far East’ allows each region of the Far Eastern Federal District to showcase what it is proud of, how it envisions its future, what it can offer to investors and tourists, and how the quality of life of the people is improving. The Jewish Autonomous Region will present investment projects and business support measures. Here, under the directive of the President of Russia, the master plan for Birobidzhan has been developed. With the help of the Far Eastern presidential unified subsidy, social infrastructure is being modernized. But probably the most interesting thing is the national color and traditions of the region, its cultural features that distinguish the region from other Far Eastern regions,” said Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Chairman of the Government – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum.
Information about the region’s industrial enterprises will be presented in the “Ongoing Projects” area. Pavilion visitors will be able to learn about the production of iron ore concentrate and airfield equipment, the process of mining brucite and graphite, as well as the operation of a logistics center. The visual style of the zone combines industrial materials and digital screens. Real product samples will be placed on the upper level, and glass flasks with artistic lighting will be on the lower level, creating the effect of a “laboratory of success.”
“The Jewish Autonomous Oblast is a special place on the map of Russia, where a unique history has become the foundation for the region’s development, and its rich cultural heritage and traditions serve as an attraction for visitors. Today, the oblast is a territory of action. Investment projects are being implemented here, industry and logistics are developing, infrastructure is being modernized, and new opportunities for business, tourism, and comfortable living are being created. This is exactly how we tried to present the Jewish Autonomous Oblast in the ‘Far East Street’ exhibition. I am confident that this introduction will be the beginning of new meetings, joint projects, and strong partnerships,” emphasized the Governor of the Jewish Autonomous Oblast, Maria Kostyuk.
The “Projects in the Initiative Stage” zone will introduce visitors to the investment block. Information about the parameters of investment projects (investment volume, payback periods, support measures) will include an interactive tool for selecting investment solutions. Using a touch panel, one can see the progress of implementing the Birobidzhan master plan. There will also be a wall dedicated to the region’s history, traditions and culture, present and future. Ethnic ornaments and symbols of the peoples living in the region are used for the decoration of this part of the exposition.
In the center of the region’s stand, there will be a floor structure in the shape of a rotating spiral, on which the words “happiness” and “harmony” will be repeatedly written in gold letters in different languages. The pavilion will also feature an interactive element called the “Magic Mirror,” which will allow visitors to the stand to try on traditional national costumes of various ethnic groups.
In the tourism area, exhibition guests will be able to study images of tourist sites and familiarize themselves with handouts on tourist routes. Nearby, there will be a glass display case called the “Treasury of Culture” with bright lighting: it will showcase a violin, a menorah, and other historical artifacts.
The pavilion’s cultural program will be distinguished by its multi-genre nature, a variety of musical styles, and rich regional color. The stand will host performances by the honored artistic collective of the Jewish Autonomous Region, the exemplary dance ensemble “Alisa,” violinist Evgeny Belov from the Birobidzhan Regional Philharmonic, and the show group “New Day.”
In addition, the pavilion will feature samples of fine art, decorative and applied arts, and design, as well as master classes on painting souvenirs with Jewish themes.
The 11th Eastern Economic Forum will take place from September 1 to 4 at the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok. During these days, the exhibition will be accessible to forum participants, and on September 5, 6, and 7 it will be open to everyone interested.
