London, July 14 /Xinhua/ — The UK Maritime Trade Operations Coordination Centre (UKMTO) reported on Tuesday attacks on two oil tankers passing through the southern route in the Strait of Hormuz.

Two separate notices state that two tankers were hit by missiles while traveling along the southern route in the Strait of Hormuz. The texts of the notices are largely identical, except for the vessels’ identification numbers.

Both incidents occurred approximately 13 nautical miles / over 24 km / southeast of the settlement of Limah / Oman, UKMTO stated.

Also on Tuesday, ADNOC Logistics & Services, the shipping division of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company /UAE/, reported that one sailor died and several others were injured as a result of attacks on two oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. Analysts believe these are the same vessels mentioned in the UKMTO alerts. –0–
