Shusha /Azerbaijan/, July 14 /Xinhua/ — Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated on Monday that after the establishment of comprehensive strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and China, cooperation between the two countries has significantly intensified in political, economic, transport, and other sectors, with more and more Chinese companies establishing business in Azerbaijan.
From July 13 to 14, the Shusha Global Media Forum was held in the Azerbaijani city of Shusha, attended by 160 guests from more than 50 countries. On Monday at the opening of the forum, in response to a question from a Xinhua correspondent, I. Aliyev stated that some Chinese companies are making large investments in Azerbaijan, while others are participating in various infrastructure projects in the country.
“During my state visit, I met with the management of many leading companies in China and I am pleased that their activities in Azerbaijan are already yielding results, moreover, they operate very efficiently, quickly, and with very high quality,” emphasized the president.
I. Aliyev noted that many projects for the development of solar energy are being implemented in Azerbaijan. According to him, all the solar panels installed in the country are manufactured in China.
“Any solar panel you see in Azerbaijan, regardless of which company was the investor, is made in China. And in this case, no other country can compete with Chinese manufacturers in terms of price and quality,” noted the head of state.
I. Aliyev also called the launch of the joint production of electric buses by BYD, which can already be seen on the city streets of Azerbaijan, one of the latest important events in bilateral cooperation.
“We have two colors of buses: electric ones are green, traditional ones are red. The more green buses there are, the better,” he added.
