Tatyana Golikova awarded the laureates of the People’s Front prize “Everything for Victory!”
Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova and People’s Artist of Russia Andrey Sokolov awarded the laureates of the People’s Front prize “Everything for Victory!” in the category “Rehabilitation of Special Military Operation veterans.” The solemn ceremony took place at the National Center “Russia.”
“These are unique people. They help the guys who have returned from the front lines to start a new life, receive medical and psychological assistance, find work. But most importantly – they give a part of themselves, a part of their heart, and stay with people for exactly as long as needed. Such help is probably the most important thing for them and for us as a society. If a person is capable of compassion and helping others, it means they are truly a whole person. Our country is made up of such people – these are the people who build it and it is precisely such people who achieve victory,” said Tatyana Golikova.
The recipient of the special award “Everything for Victory!” in the category “Rehabilitation of SVO Veterans” was Dmitry Pavlenko, who, after losing four limbs, became a certified diver and promotes inclusive practices, helping SVO veterans and people with disabilities undergo rehabilitation through sports, tourism, and social projects.
The winners in the category included veterans, doctors, psychologists, public figures, and leaders of rehabilitation projects who help participants of the special military operation return to civilian life. Among them are Alexander Mironov, founder of the Union of Blind and Visually Impaired Combat Veterans; Nail Ziyatdinov, head of the charitable foundation “House of Friends”; Olga Tikhonova, director of the ANO “Lisyona Art”; Natalia Sokolova, executive director of the “So-edinenie” foundation; Elena Mezentseva, founder of the online Prosthetics Walking School; Sergey Gerdt, deputy director of the Meshcheryakov Family Center; Fyodor Ushkov, senior lecturer at Lomonosov Moscow State University and co-author of the veteran adaptation course for the special military operation; Eduard Beletsky, chief physician of the Amvrosievka Rehabilitation Center; Olga Orlova, director of ANO “Svetoch”; Evgeny Kryukov, head of the Kirov Military Medical Academy; Galina Tarasova, head of the psychological help service of the “We Don’t Abandon Our Own” foundation; and Denis Makarov, founder of the “Diving for Heroes” project.
The People’s Front Forum is timed to coincide with the four-year anniversary under the motto “Everything for Victory!”. In the summer of 2022, the People’s Front launched a large-scale initiative that united millions of the country’s residents to assist participants in the special military operation and civilians in historical and border regions. During this time, more than 150 collections were opened, and the necessary equipment, machinery, and gear were delivered to over 510 units.
Participants of the forum included volunteers, representatives of the People’s Front and people’s regiments, military medics, public figures, opinion leaders, experts, and journalists who help unite people around supporting the front. The event also involves people who have performed heroic acts in civilian life, representatives of business and large companies providing significant assistance to participants of the special military operation and contributing to the country’s development, as well as employees of federal executive authorities who jointly implement large-scale humanitarian initiatives.
