Almaty, July 13 /Xinhua/ — In the first six months of 2026, Kazakhstan’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth amounted to 4.1 percent. This was announced on Monday by Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
As reported by the press service of the presidential administration, citing O. Bektenov’s report on the results of socio-economic development for January-June 2026 to the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the contribution of the manufacturing industry to the economic structure increased by 9.8%, the transport sector by 7.1%, and construction by 15.2%.
The Prime Minister noted that this year, 200 investment projects worth 1.7 trillion tenge /20.4 billion US dollars/ will be launched in Kazakhstan’s manufacturing sector, creating 17,000 permanent jobs. –0–
