In Moscow, at the International Trade Center, the II Forum “Russia and the World: Trends of Healthy Longevity” was held. On the second day of the forum, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova served as the moderator of the plenary session and also hosted a business brunch with scientists, doctors, and artists who have reached or are on the threshold of the 90-year milestone.
Russian President Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants and guests of the II Forum “Russia and the World: Trends of Healthy Longevity.” “It is pleasing that the forum is becoming a tradition, once again bringing together renowned scientists, doctors, public figures, experts in medicine and healthcare, and food producers from various regions of the country. You are to continue a serious, substantive discussion on a wide range of issues related to preserving and strengthening people’s health, improving the quality and length of their lives, and enhancing the demographic situation,” Vladimir Putin emphasized.
“The Second Forum ‘Russia and the World: Trends in Healthy Longevity’ confirmed a strong demand for an open professional dialogue on the issues of health preservation and increasing the duration of healthy life. Over two days of work, substantial discussions took place, involving representatives of federal authorities, regions, the scientific and medical communities, business, public organizations, and international experts. For us, it was important not only to discuss new scientific approaches and promising technologies but also to align positions with the regions, see best practices, understand which solutions have already proven effective and can be scaled up. This work will continue. A distinctive feature of the forum was a comprehensive understanding of healthy longevity. We spoke not only about the development of healthcare but also about the role of science, culture, art, education, sports, social policy, and regional initiatives in shaping a healthy and active life.”It is this approach that allows the creation of conditions in which healthy longevity becomes not only a task of the healthcare system but also a general strategy for improving the quality of life and developing the country’s human capital,” noted Tatyana Golikova.
On the second day of the event, the Deputy Prime Minister served as the moderator of the session “Russia and the world: trends in healthy longevity. Goal, strategy, tactics.”
“A new model of medicine is emerging worldwide, focused not on waiting for illness, but on early detection of pre-risks and maintaining a healthy life. In 2024, Abu Dhabi was among the first to approve the standard for centers of healthy longevity medicine and licensed a specialized center. However, in most countries, this remains a set of separate initiatives. There is no comprehensive federal system with unified operating rules, citizen routing, and inclusion in state medical care guarantees anywhere except Russia. Russia has already taken the next step. We have adopted the necessary regulatory legal framework. By Presidential decree, a new Healthcare Development Strategy until 2030 has been approved. In 2026, the state guarantees program for free medical care for citizens will include new provisions for the phased organization of healthy longevity medicine centers in the regions,” emphasized Tatyana Golikova. Within the framework of the national project “Long and Active Life,” regions are procuring equipment to conduct research. They are modernizing their laboratory base. A new position has been introduced – a healthy longevity medicine doctor.
The Chairman of the Union of Theatre Workers of Russia, Artistic Director of the Oleg Tabakov Moscow Theatre, and the Moscow Sovremennik Theatre Vladimir Mashkov presented the results of a study on the positive influence of creativity on human cognitive health, conducted at the FSBSI “Russian Scientific Center of Surgery named after Academician B.V. Petrovsky” of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia. The study showed that representatives of creative professions have higher accuracy, fewer reactions (a “quality over speed” strategy), higher creativity scores, and consistently high scores on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment scale.
Tatyana Golikova pointed out that healthy longevity medicine is an interdepartmental effort, a whole complex of interconnected directions and activities. The goal of the movement is to assist in the formation and promotion among the population of healthy longevity medicine and health-preserving technologies, including the culture of healthy longevity. “I urge all regions to more actively implement the regional movement,” emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.
As part of the forum, Tatyana Golikova presented state awards to the head of the Republic of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov, to Alexey Moskalev, director of the Institute of Biology of Aging and Healthy Longevity Medicine with the Preventive Medicine Clinic of the Russian Scientific Center of Surgery named after Academician B.V.
