Beijing, July 9 /Xinhua/ — The Consumer Price Index (CPI), the main indicator of inflation, in China rose by 1 percent year-on-year in June this year, according to official data released on Thursday.
According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics of China, the core consumer price index, which excludes food and energy prices, increased by 1 percent year-on-year.
On a monthly basis, the CPI fell by 0.3 percent in June.
Data also showed that the Producer Price Index (PPI), which is an indicator of changes in wholesale prices of goods by producers, in China rose by 4.1 percent year-on-year in June 2026. -0-
