Debt securities transactions on the secondary market of the Moscow Exchange in June 2026 were made by 794 thousand retail investors (+44.4% compared to June 2025). Their share in the volume of bond trading amounted to 17.5%.
Private investors invested 231 billion rubles in bonds on the Moscow Exchange stock market in June (+47.4% compared to June 2025). Of these, 14% were investments in ruble-denominated OFZs, 61% in ruble corporate bonds, and 25% in foreign currency bonds. By the end of the first half of the year, the total volume of private investors’ investments in bonds on the Moscow Exchange exceeded 1.1 trillion rubles (an increase of 18% compared to the first half of 2025).
The volume of bond placements in June amounted to 1.6 trillion rubles, including one-day bonds worth 202 billion rubles. The share of OFZ in the placement volume is 13.3% (39.5% in June 2025).
The volume of secondary bond trading in June reached 2.5 trillion rubles (+71.5% compared to June 2025). This includes OFZ trading volume of 1.3 trillion rubles (+54.4% compared to June 2025), corporate bonds – 1.2 trillion rubles (almost doubling compared to June 2025).
In the segment of over-the-counter trades with a central counterparty, the volume of transactions in June 2026 amounted to 284.7 billion rubles (+28.7% compared to June 2025).
The debt market of the Moscow Exchange is a center for raising funds for Russian companies, combining developed infrastructure, reliability, and advanced bond trading technologies. Bonds traded on the Moscow Exchange have an outstanding volume amounting to almost one-third of GDP. The lineup of more than four thousand instruments issued by 500 issuers includes OFZs, corporate bonds, and complex debt instruments. More than 1.7 million private investors trade bonds on the Moscow Exchange. In 2025, the bond trading volume amounted to 42 trillion rubles, and the average daily transaction volume since the beginning of 2026 has exceeded 150 billion rubles.
