Moscow, July 7 /Xinhua/ — The Communist Party of China (CPC) will continue to unite and lead the Chinese people, steadfastly follow the path of modernization with Chinese characteristics, and create more opportunities for the whole world through its own development. This was stated by the Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui in an authored article recently published in the Russian newspaper “Trud” and timed to the significant date — the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC.
As noted by the Chinese diplomat, the CPC has undergone a developmental path that corresponds to China’s national conditions and matches the spirit of the times. Among the key achievements of recent decades, he highlighted the implementation of reform and opening-up policies, socialist modernization and turning China into the world’s second-largest economy, as well as the victory in the largest poverty eradication campaign in human history.
The ambassador pointed out that at the new stage of the country’s development, the CPC is leading the people along the path of unwavering advancement of modernization in the Chinese style, ensuring comprehensive and innovative achievements in socio-economic development, and steadily promoting the cause of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. “History and practice convincingly show that the leadership of the CPC is the fundamental guarantee of the country’s development and progress and the most reliable support for the Chinese people,” emphasized the diplomat.
Zhang Hanhui pointed out that in striving for the well-being of the Chinese people, the CPC simultaneously advocates for the common good of the entire world. The ambassador recalled that China has consistently put forward the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative, and the Global Governance Initiative, proposing a comprehensive Chinese approach to addressing global issues and improving the global governance system.
The publication emphasizes that China and Russia are connected by comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction in the new era. This year, the countries celebrate the 30th anniversary of establishing partnership and strategic interaction relations and the 25th anniversary of signing the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation between the PRC and the Russian Federation. “Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two states, China and Russia firmly uphold the international system, the core of which is the UN, as well as the international order based on international law. Our countries consistently oppose unilateral actions, hegemonism, and bloc confrontations, demonstrate a model of relations between major powers, and bring much-needed certainty and positive energy to a turbulent and changing world,” stated Zhang Hanhui.
According to the ambassador, today the leading political parties of Russia are resolutely in favor of deepening cooperation with the Communist Party of China. “Thanks to close interparty strategic contacts and dialogue based on mutual trust, the parties have not only strengthened the foundation of political mutual trust but have also created a solid basis for improving the global governance system, promoting the democratization of international relations, and protecting international justice. Such interaction has become an important stabilizing factor in maintaining peace and stability throughout the world,” he is confident.
As Zhang Hanhui noted, under the influence of active interparty cooperation, humanitarian exchanges are steadily expanding. The cross Years of Education of China and Russia have successfully launched; the number of students studying in exchange programs in both countries already exceeds 80,000; the Chinese side has extended the visa-free regime for Russian citizens until the end of 2027.
