Sofia, July 7 /Xinhua/ – Moldovan President Maia Sandu on Tuesday signed a decree appointing Eugeniu Osmocescu as acting Prime Minister.
According to current legislation, he will head the government during the transitional period after the former Prime Minister Alexandru Muntian announced his resignation on July 3. E. Osmokesku will begin his new duties on Wednesday until the formation of the new government.
This week, M. Sandu will hold consultations with parliamentary factions to determine the candidate for the position of prime minister.
