PJSC “KAMAZ” was visited by a delegation from the Kemerovo territorial organization of the Russian Independent Trade Union of Coal Industry Workers. The visit took place as part of a working trip to the Republic of Tatarstan.
The group of 16 people was led by Eduard Tolstikov, deputy chairman of the Kemerovo Territorial Organization of Rosugleprof. The guests were accompanied by Svetlana Bezborodova, director of the Trade Unions Training and Research Center of the Republic of Tatarstan.
A tour of the automobile factory was conducted for the delegation members. The guests visited key production workshops: cabin assembly, vehicle assembly, as well as the finishing and final product delivery workshop. Representatives of the coal industry saw how Kamaz trucks are made — from individual components to finished vehicles. Additionally, the guests were told about the company’s history, its key achievements, and current production processes.
As part of the program, a meeting was also held with the trade union activists of the automobile plant and the bridge plant, led by Larisa Denisova, the chairwoman of the trade union organization of the automobile and bridge plants. The parties discussed issues of social partnership, exchanged experience on key trade union areas, and touched upon the topic of mentorship – one of the key points both in the coal industry and in machine building. Participants noted the productivity of the dialogue. Despite being from different industries, the trade unions have similar tasks: protecting workers’ rights, ensuring decent working conditions, and maintaining constructive dialogue with the employer.
The members of the delegation expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and noted that such an exchange of experience is an important step towards strengthening overall trade union unity.
