Saint Petersburg, July 7 /Xinhua/ — The Russian Export Center (REC) and the company “Russian Railways” recently launched the project “Export Express for Small and Medium Enterprises” for shipping small batches of cargo by public trains to China.
As reported on the REC website, the project offers Russian exporters the opportunity to send small batches of cargo starting from one container with faster delivery times compared to sea freight. Cargo acceptance is carried out at the largest inland dry ports in China.
The new comprehensive service frees Russian exporters from excessive financial and time costs associated with organizing the delivery of goods batches to China, as it operates on a “warehouse-to-warehouse” principle and takes into account requirements for cargo preservation, the REC statement says. –0–
