M. Mishustin: Dear Alexander Genrikhovich, dear friends, I greet you once again. I am glad to see you all here in hospitable Yekaterinburg, at the international industrial exhibition “Innoprom.”
First of all, I would like to ask you to convey the best wishes to the President of Belarus, Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko, from the President of Russia, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, and from myself personally. And of course, I would like to once again warmly congratulate you on the national holiday – Independence Day of Belarus, which is celebrated on July 3rd.
We sincerely value our allied, fraternal relations, which are developing in the spirit of strategic partnership. Despite unprecedented sanctions from the West, our trade and economic cooperation is on the rise. The share of machinery, equipment, and high-tech products is increasing in mutual trade turnover.
Systematic work is also underway to fulfill the agreements of the leaders of Russia and Belarus, reached in May in Moscow and in June at Valdai. Russia and Belarus are steadily strengthening their positions in the Union State. Along the lines of the governments, we are accelerating work on the main directions for implementing the Union State agreement for 2024–2026. We are carrying out the action plan, which, I hope, we will complete together by the end of the year.
Priority attention is traditionally given to industrial policy. Large joint projects are being implemented in industries such as automobile manufacturing, microelectronics, and machine tool building. We are also actively cooperating on the digital agenda and developing electronic services.
Trip
In early October, the second international industrial exhibition “Innoprom. Belarus” will be held in Minsk. I am confident that it will give a new impetus to our joint development in the field of high-tech manufacturing.
We are also creating a unified transport system of the Union State. In particular, on April 2, passenger railway services commenced between neighboring regions. Our presidents agreed on this. We are talking primarily about the suburban routes Smolensk – Orsha and Smolensk – Vitebsk.
We attach special importance to the development of our direct interregional ties. From June 24 to 26, the XIII Forum of the Regions of Russia and Belarus was held in Minsk, with more than 600 delegates from 73 subjects of the Russian Federation taking part.
We have a large, extensive agenda, dear Alexander Genrikhovich. Once again, I would like to thank you for coming on a day off. We also worked together with the delegations yesterday. The floor is yours, dear Alexander Genrikhovich.

First of all, of course, allow me to thank you for the invitation to attend such an important and significant event. I want to say that over the years of its existence, “Innoprom” has proven its importance for our countries. And today, this is a magnificent opportunity to see our achievements on this platform and to outline the further paths of our cooperation.
As you correctly said, Mikhail Vladimirovich, our relations show confident growth. Over the past five months, we have increased our mutual trade turnover by more than 20%. This indicates that we are on the right track. And of course, within the framework of the Union State, today we are addressing a whole range of issues and tasks that we need to solve, as you rightly noted, under conditions of unprecedented sanctions pressure.
Our presidents met quite recently. Before leaving, I spoke with Alexander Grigorievich; he asked me to convey his best wishes to Vladimir Vladimirovich. And I am confident that the pace of mutual meetings and our discussions will continue.
Therefore, Mikhail Vladimirovich, I also note with satisfaction that the relations between the two governments – the Government of Russia and the Government of Belarus – are at the highest level. I am grateful to you for always being available 24/7, and any issues that arise, we promptly resolve with you.
Even last night demonstrated this. My colleagues and I discussed issues all evening, and this morning we are having lively discussions. And on a whole range of issues that we discussed yesterday, we have already found resolutions and turning points.
Therefore, I am grateful to all colleagues for such work. And I have already told you that there are super professional people working in your team. Thank you very much.
