M. Mishustin: Good afternoon, dear Nikol Vovaevich! Dear colleagues, dear friends!
Visiting Russia is your first foreign trip after the parliamentary elections held in Armenia on June 7.
We expect that the new Government, which will be formed following the results of the voting and elections, will ensure the progressive development of Russian-Armenian relations in the spirit of friendship, good neighborliness, mutual respect, and consideration of each other’s interests.
Despite turbulence in the global economy, Russia ranks first among Armenia’s foreign trade partners and investors.
Trip
Domestic companies are actively working in the mining industry, mechanical engineering, transport infrastructure, energy, including peaceful nuclear energy, and the digital economy.
It is important that the Government of Armenia continues to create the most comfortable environment for the activities of Russian investors and ensures the protection of their rights and legitimate interests.
All issues of practical interaction are under constant control of the intergovernmental commission, headed on our side by Alexey Logvinovich (A. Overchuk).
Today we participated in Russia’s largest exhibition “Innoprom”, and got acquainted with the most modern solutions in the fields of industry, mechanical engineering, and scientific-technological developments.
I am confident that representatives of the business communities of Russia and Armenia will find opportunities here for joint projects, joint production, and will establish cooperation. It is especially important to do this taking into account the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises of Armenia and Russia.
We attach great importance to cultural and humanitarian cooperation with our Armenian partners. We propose to continue the tradition of holding Culture Days, exhibitions, and festivals, and to strengthen educational and youth contacts. There are good opportunities to expand direct interregional ties.
I am ready to discuss with you the entire range of issues related to bilateral relations.

N. Pashinyan: Thank you very much, Mikhail Vladimirovich.
First of all, allow me to once again congratulate you on the successful holding of the “Innoprom” exhibition. And thank you for the invitation. Of course, this meeting is a very good reason to discuss the entire spectrum of the agenda of our relations. And after the elections, it is, as they say, a good reason to synchronize our watches.
Recently, some problematic issues have arisen. I hope that we will discuss and resolve these issues. Both before and after the elections, we are committed to the further development of our relations with the Russian Federation. And of course, we are interested in our participation in the Eurasian Economic Union. We want the mechanisms provided for by the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union to operate in a planned manner. I believe this is in the interest of the further development of the Eurasian Economic Union.
As I have already said, we are constructive and ready to discuss and clarify all questions, all nuances. And I hope that as a result of today’s negotiations we will be able to resolve specific issues.
