Ashgabat, July 4 /Xinhua/ — On Friday, a photo exhibition about the achievements of Chinese modernization and a seminar dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) were held here. More than 60 representatives from various circles of China and Turkmenistan participated in the event.
The photo exhibition was jointly organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Turkmenistan and the Almaty bureau of the Xinhua News Agency. It included the following sections: “The Historical Leap of China’s Modernization,” “High-Quality Development,” “People’s Well-being, Culture, and Ecology,” and “Youth Exchanges.” A total of about 30 photographs were presented.
The Ambassador of the PRC to Turkmenistan, Ji Shumin, stated that this photo exhibition is distinguished by rich content and a clear thematic focus, demonstrating the great achievements that the Chinese people have attained under the leadership of the CPC at various historical stages.
The Secretary-General of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, Chinar Rustemova, former ambassador of Turkmenistan to China, stated that the photo exhibition tells the story of the party’s formation and how over more than a hundred years the CPC has transformed into a powerful political force ensuring stable development, economic security, and peaceful progress of China. It was an extremely challenging historical path during which, under the leadership of the party, the efforts of the state, society, and people were united.
According to Ch. Rustemova, during her trip to China in 2023, she specifically visited rural areas where she familiarized herself with the condition of local schools, the improvement of villages, and greening efforts. “I am convinced that very significant changes have taken place in China,” she said.
Ch. Rustemova noted that the CPC acts as the “locomotive” of China’s political and economic system, consistently advancing the country’s modernization process and ensuring steady development of the state.
She also emphasized that China actively utilizes international experience while simultaneously sharing its own achievements, contributing to global modernization processes and promoting further integration into global development.
The chief editor of the “ORIENT” website, Bekdurdy Amansaryev, stated that the CCP has adapted throughout its development to challenges and changing conditions, successfully addressing arising issues. The CCP consistently and adequately responds to modern challenges, which enables China to maintain high development rates.
“Previously, we learned about China’s achievements by word of mouth, but today they are presented in a clear and visual form,” said the website’s editor-in-chief. According to him, China’s achievements are of significant interest to Turkmenistan and the global community. China, focused on its own development, simultaneously strives to ensure that the results of this development benefit other countries as well. For example, China’s scientific and technological achievements in several fields are becoming available for international use.
Member of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Committee on Legislation and Its Norms, Jenet Ovekkova, stated that the held events contribute to expanding mutual understanding between the peoples of Turkmenistan and China, as well as to the development of cooperation at cultural and humanitarian levels, thereby contributing to the further development of bilateral relations.
