Beijing, July 3 /Xinhua/ — Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) Xi Jinping on Friday presented certificates conferring the rank of colonel general to two officers.

The officers who were awarded this rank this time were Zhang Shuguang, Secretary of the Central Military Commission Discipline Inspection Commission and Director of the Central Military Commission Supervision Committee, and Wang Gang, Commander of the Air Force of the People’s Liberation Army of China.

The Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission Zhang Shengmin presided over the ceremony and read the decree on the conferment of military ranks, which was signed by Xi Jinping.

Xi Jinping extended his congratulations to two officers.
