Beijing, July 2 /Xinhua/ — The Civil Aviation Administration of China /CAAC/ on Thursday released a new package of measures to improve air transportation services for passengers with disabilities.
The new measures are aimed at addressing the most pressing problems and practical obstacles frequently faced by air travelers with disabilities.
As noted by the agency, the new measures encourage the creation of a closed full-cycle service chain with unified standards, covering every stage — from entry points to airport terminals to check-in counters, security checkpoints, waiting areas, boarding, in-flight service, disembarkation, baggage claim, arrival halls, and finally, ground transportation departure points.
The department emphasized that the main goal of the initiative is to significantly increase the convenience and comfort of air travel for passengers with limited mobility. -0-
