Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova held another meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on the Implementation of the State Policy Strategy of the Russian Federation regarding the Russian Cossacks for 2021–2030. On the agenda was the discussion of the draft action plan for 2027–2030. At the meeting, Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk, chairman of the religious organization “Synodal Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church on Interaction with the Cossacks,” Igor Barinov, head of the Russian Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs, and Vitaly Kuznetsov, ataman of the All-Russian Cossack Society, spoke.

The current action plan for implementing the Strategy of State Policy regarding the Russian Cossacks ends in 2026. As Tatyana Golikova noted, the new action plan should maintain continuity with the existing plan, but at the same time respond to current challenges and tasks.
The Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs of Russia, together with interested federal agencies, regions, the Synodal Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church for Interaction with the Cossacks, and a number of other interested organizations, has developed a draft plan of activities for the period 2027–2030.
The purpose of the plan is to coordinate the actions of federal executive authorities, executive authorities of the subjects, local self-government bodies, military Cossack societies, public Cossack associations, and other civil society institutions in the implementation of state policy regarding the Cossacks.
Following the discussion, the FADN of Russia, with the participation of interested federal executive authorities and the All-Russian Cossack Society, was instructed to refine the draft action plan for 2027–2030 for implementing the strategy, paying special attention to the target indicators characterizing the execution of the activities.
