Up to 20 laboratories can be equipped on board to conduct research from the ocean floor to the stratosphere; a helicopter complex for two helicopters of types Ka-32, Mi-8, and Mi-38 is also provided. The ship’s displacement will exceed 25,000 tons, its length up to 165 meters, and maximum width 26 meters.
