Almaty, June 30 /Xinhua/ — The Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan has prepared a draft agreement on the establishment of the World Organization for Cooperation on Artificial Intelligence /AI/. This was reported on Tuesday by the Kazinform agency.

The new structure will focus on promoting international cooperation in the field of AI, bridging the technological development gap between countries, as well as developing common approaches to governance, standardization, and the safe development of AI.

It is emphasized that the organization will operate exclusively for civilian purposes. The headquarters of the new entity may be located in Shanghai. The document has been put up for public discussion, which will last until July 15, 2026. –0–
