The exhibition was opened on August 1, 1939, in Moscow to showcase the achievements of Soviet agriculture and industry. Today VDNH is the largest exhibition, museum, and recreational complex in the world, housing 49 cultural heritage sites. It features the famous monument “Worker and Kolkhoz Woman,” the “Friendship of Peoples” fountain, as well as historic pavilions. It is a popular space where forums, exhibitions, festivals, and concerts are held.
On June 30, 2026, the Bank of Russia will issue a commemorative silver coin with a denomination of 25 rubles “Exhibition Complex ‘Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy’, Moscow” from the series “Monuments of Russian Architecture” (catalog number 5115-0170).
The silver coin with a denomination of 25 rubles (precious metal mass in pure form – 155.5 g, alloy fineness – 925) is circular with a diameter of 60.0 mm.
There is a raised rim around the circumference on both the obverse and reverse sides of the coin.
On the obverse side of the coin, there is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Russian Federation, with inscriptions: “RUSSIAN FEDERATION”, “BANK OF RUSSIA”, the coin’s denomination “25 RUBLES”, the year of issue “2026”, the designation of the metal according to D.I. Mendeleev’s Periodic Table of Elements, alloy fineness, the trademark of the Saint Petersburg Mint, and the mass of the precious metal in pure form.
On the reverse side of the coin, there is a relief image of the Main Entrance arch with the gilded sculpture “The Tractor Driver and the Collective Farm Woman” against a background of clouds rendered using laser matting technique; in the distant background – a relief image of Pavilion No. 1 “Central”; at the bottom – inscriptions: in a relief cartouche surrounded by wheat ears – “VDNH”, along the circumference – “EXHIBITION OF ACHIEVEMENTS OF NATIONAL ECONOMY”.
The side surface of the coin is reeded.
The coin is made in “proof” quality.
The coin mintage is 1,000 pieces.
The issued coin is legal tender in the territory of the Russian Federation and must be accepted at face value for all types of payments without restrictions.
