The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the organizers – the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Tyumen State University, the Moscow School of Management “Skolkovo”, the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, the Ural Federal University – for organizing the event, and also expressed special gratitude for the hospitality to the Governor of the Tyumen Region, Alexander Moor, and his team.
This year, the forum is dedicated to the issues of transforming universities in the context of the rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies.
“Our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin at the conference ‘Journey into the World of Artificial Intelligence’ noted that young people widely use neural networks for tasks in study, work, and everyday life. Indeed, students today use neural networks not only to search for information but also as a tool for analysis, hypothesis testing, and finding new solutions. Artificial intelligence primarily takes over routine operations, freeing up time for creativity and professional growth. Which means that the most valuable resource remains natural intelligence,” emphasized Dmitry Chernyshenko.
He noted that the task of higher education is to provide students with tools that help reveal and enhance their own abilities through the use of these technologies.
“Artificial intelligence is transforming the educational process. It opens new opportunities for research, personalizes learning and workforce training. The Government expects that your proposals will be reflected in the new project passport “Artificial Intelligence in Education,” which will be launched in the coming days,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
In conclusion, the Deputy Prime Minister wished the event participants productive work and success in all their endeavors, noting that it would help to develop new approaches and standards for the use of artificial intelligence in education.
The forum program includes expert presentations and work in project groups across five tracks: “Designing Educational Experiments,” “Unified Educational Module ‘AI Literacy’,” “Analysis of University Cognitive Architecture Options,” “Thinking in a Heterogeneous Environment,” and “Strategy for Implementing AI Technologies in Education and Science.”
Based on the results of the project work, the participants will present proposals and solution models to the expert community aimed at increasing the efficiency of using artificial intelligence technologies in the higher education system.
The III Forum “Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education” is organized by Tyumen State University in collaboration with the Skolkovo School of Management, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and Ural Federal University as part of scientific research work under the government assignment (project FEWZ-2024–0052) and the strategic academic leadership program “Priority-2030” of the national project “Youth and Children”.
