The results of the presidential program “Region for the Youth” and the competition “Region of Good Deeds” have been summed up. They are part of the national project “Youth and Children,” launched by order of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
“Thanks to the decisions of our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the country is creating all the conditions for young people, regardless of their place of residence, to realize their talents and abilities, lead an active life, and engage in good deeds. Thanks to the “Region for Youth” program, regions will be able to repair about 100 youth spaces by 2027, train around 4,000 employees, and acquire new equipment. With the subsidy obtained under the “Region of Good Deeds” competition, volunteer coordinators will be prepared. We see the results – centers opened through previous selections are already engaged in patriotic education, the development of phygital sports, supporting youth creativity, and much more,” said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
For example, thanks to the “Region for Youth” program, four youth spaces have appeared simultaneously in the Tomsk region. They have a cyber arena, a photo studio, and workshops. In Izhevsk, the renovated youth patriotic center “Border” named after Hero of Russia Sergey Borin has opened. There, you can receive medical and drill training and visit the Border Glory Museum of Udmurtia. The Volunteer House in Ulyanovsk was opened this year after modernization thanks to winning the “Region of Good Deeds” competition.
The key task of the “Region for the Young” program is to achieve qualitative transformations in the field of youth policy in the regions of Russia. Subjects, with the direct participation of young people, develop projects and programs aimed at creating modern platforms for the self-realization of the younger generation, developing professional competencies of industry specialists, as well as broadly informing youth about existing support measures.
“The presidential program ‘Region for Youth’ allows regions to comprehensively develop youth policy within the subjects: from repairing infrastructure in small settlements and large cities to conducting educational and outreach activities for children, young people, volunteers, teachers, and mentors. Thanks to the program, included in the national project ‘Youth and Children,’ modern youth centers are opening across the country, which have been modernized and equipped with everything necessary for the development of young people, based on their needs. In these modern spaces, young people can gain new knowledge, meet friends, find mentors, and unite into teams. This year, we received 79 applications from the regions, and 40 regions became winners of the competition. They will receive 4.5 billion rubles for the development of youth policy. For the first time, the subsidy has been allocated to the Bryansk region and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug under the program,” noted Rosmolodezh head Grigoriy Gurov.

State support within the framework of the All-Russian competition “Region of Good Deeds” is directed towards the development of infrastructure for volunteers, the acquisition of equipment, training of coordinators, and the holding of regional forums and campaigns. The organizer of the competition is Rosmolodezh, the operator is “Dobro.RF”.
To participate, the regions developed comprehensive volunteer development programs, the content of which they determined independently, based on their needs and available resources. This year, 64 applications were received from the regions. For the first time, the Luhansk People’s Republic participated. Thanks to the funds received within the framework of the competition, the number of people involved in volunteering will amount to nearly 3 million.
“This year, the volume of subsidies for the ‘Region of Good Deeds’ competition amounted to more than 180 million rubles. The largest programs will be implemented in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Yaroslavl and Bryansk regions, Krasnodar Krai, and Ryazan region. For the first time, the Lugansk People’s Republic participated in the program. The competition helps strengthen the infrastructure supporting local communities in the country — the network of ‘Dobro.Centers’ is expanding, premises where volunteers and NGOs can gather are being renovated, inventory and equipment for work are being purchased, and educational programs are being conducted,” emphasized Artem Metelev, head of the ‘Dobro.RF’ ecosystem and chairman of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy.
