Fuzhou, June 29 /Xinhua/ — 5 people died as a result of an emergency incident in a gorge in Xiangyu County, Putian City, Fujian Province /Eastern China/, local authorities reported on Monday.
On Sunday, in an area called “Tsydao Gorge,” nine outdoor enthusiasts found themselves in a dangerous situation. Upon receiving an emergency call, local authorities immediately launched search and rescue operations.
Four people were successfully rescued, and the remaining five died.
