On June 26, in Beijing, a high-level forum on the governance of developing countries in 2026 was held, dedicated to the topic “Historical mission and practical value of political parties.”
The organizers of the event were the Party School under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (State Administrative Academy of CPC), the Institute for the Study of Party History and Documentation under the Central Committee of the CPC, the Foreign Language Literature Publishing House of CPC, as well as the newspaper China Daily. Within the framework of the forum, three thematic sections were held: “Political Parties and Global Development,” “Political Parties and Social Governance,” and “Political Parties and Global Governance.” More than 150 experts, scholars, and representatives of mass media from over 20 countries around the world and international organizations participated in the event.
In the course of the discussion on the forum, it was noted that political parties are called to act as conduits of national development, defenders of citizens’ interests, and an important driving force of social progress. Forum participants emphasized that the Communist Party of China is consistently focused on improving the well-being of the Chinese people, the revival of the Chinese nation, as well as contributing to the progress of humanity and the achievement of universal prosperity.In my opinion, participants believe that political parties of different states should strengthen cooperation, jointly bear historical responsibility, and contribute to the formation of more favorable prospects for the development of the global community.
