In Russia, the temporary ban on the export of certain types of ore, which is a critically important raw material for the mineral fertilizer industry, has been extended. The decision is aimed at preserving current volumes of fertilizer production and ensuring the country’s food security.

According to the signed resolution, the restriction applies to the export of liquid, granulated, and lump sulfur. It will be in effect until December 31, 2026, inclusive.

At the same time, raw materials can be exported from Russia to countries that are members of the Eurasian Economic Union, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, as well as sent abroad to provide humanitarian aid, within the framework of international transit transportation, and to support the activities of Russian organizations in the archipelago of Svalbard.

Restrictions on the export of raw materials were introduced from November 1, 2025, to stabilize shipments of raw materials to the domestic market.
