By the order of President Vladimir Putin, Russia is conducting comprehensive work to create a network of world-class university campuses. It includes the construction of academic buildings and the improvement of adjacent territories to make the learning process effective and comfortable. Thus, at the square in front of Novosibirsk State University, landscaping works have been completed. This was reported by the Deputy Chairman of the Government Marat Khusnullin.
“Construction of university campuses directly influences the transformation of adjacent districts, creating a modern environment for living and studying. We conduct this work comprehensively: we build new educational buildings and improve the surrounding territory. It is at the university that the intellectual potential of the country is formed and conditions for scientific discoveries are created. The new NGU campus will give an additional impetus for the professional growth of young people, as well as contribute to the further development of science and technology. The construction of the NGU campus is controlled by PPS “United Customer.”Construction of buildings with a total area of more than 40 thousand sq. m is provided for: the auditorium building operates from September 1, 2025, the educational and scientific center has been put into operation, and commissioning work is underway at the research center. Symbolically, the landscaping of the campus territory was completed on the eve of Youth Day – a holiday of those who are to determine the future of our country,” said Marat Khusnullin.
On the territory of the campus, specialists carried out landscaping, arranged pedestrian routes, installed lighting, and small architectural forms.
“The building of the educational and scientific center is currently being equipped with new technological equipment. The new facilities will ensure comfortable conditions for education, scientific activities, and the implementation of promising research projects by young scientists,” said Karen Oganesyan, General Director of PPK “Unified Customer”..
The total area of the research center building is more than 11 thousand square meters. About 90 university employees will work in the building. It will house offices and laboratories for conducting research in the fields of medicine, biology, and chemistry.
The educational and scientific center with an area of more than 12 thousand square meters is designed for 550 students. It will house the largest simulation center in Siberia for practicing the skills of future medical workers in minimally invasive surgery and clinical training. In addition, the building will be equipped with laboratories and rooms for training specialists in chemistry, biology, medicine, psychology, physiology, and other subjects.
Four more campuses are being built by specialists of the PPP “Unified Customer” in Orel, Kaliningrad, Smolensk, and Moscow. The new student towns are designed to provide quality education and create comfortable conditions for study and scientific activities.
The construction of campuses is being carried out within the framework of the federal project “Creating a network of modern campuses” and the national project “Youth and children”.
