Beijing, June 26 /Xinhua/ — In the first five months of 2026, the cargo turnover in foreign trade through the Sui Fengse automobile border crossing point (Heilongjiang Province, Northeast China), located on the border between China and Russia, exceeded 600 thousand tons and reached a new maximum in the history of the border checkpoint’s existence for a similar period, the Chinese daily newspaper “Heilongjiang Daily” reported.
Statistical data also show that in January-May the traffic passing through the aforementioned CPP amounted to 53.7 thousand units, increasing by 12.3 percent in annual terms.
Since the beginning of the current year, the Suifenhe Customs, constantly expanding the use of intellectual equipment for inspection and optimizing the customs clearance process, continues to regulate control over vehicles and improve the corresponding infrastructure in order to simplify customs procedures.
Truck driver Chzao Ligo reports that in recent years, more and more intelligent customs equipment is being implemented at the KPP Suifenhe, customs clearance speed is increasing, and the waiting time for customs control is steadily decreasing.
In order to more effectively promote the development of foreign trade enterprises, representatives of the local customs regularly visit to familiarize themselves in a timely manner with the difficulties and needs arising at their locations, so as to purposefully optimize measures for customs clearance and servicing, help reduce costs, and increase the efficiency of economic activities.
