Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko held a working meeting with the head of the Republic of Adygea, Murat Kumpilov. They discussed the development of tourism, sports, education, and youth policy in the region.
Adygea is one of the beautiful jewels of the Caucasus, which the national project “Tourism and Hospitality” helps to shine even brighter. With its support, new accommodations, tourist routes, and attractions are being created in the republic. Investments in Adygea’s tourism find fertile ground. We see concrete results and excellent dynamics: according to the results of last year, Adygea entered the list of regions leading in the growth rates of tourist trips and continues to maintain a good level,” said Dmitry Chernyshenko.
Murat Kumpilov reported on the development of the region’s tourism potential. Thanks to the specialized national project “Tourism and Hospitality,” the room fund has been increased – 11 modular non-capital hotels have been built since 2024. This year, construction of 4 more modular hotels will begin.
The issues of implementing large projects “Lagonaki” and “Deguakskaya Polyana”, as well as other investment projects aimed at creating modern tourist infrastructure, expanding opportunities for active and ecological tourism, were also considered. A good effect is given by event tourism: last year, the annual Adygei cheese festival gathered a record 70 thousand guests. This year, the first “Friendship Hearth” festival was held in Adygeysk.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the development of education and youth policy in the region contributes to the national project “Youth and Children”—it is aimed at achieving the national goal set by President Vladimir Putin—realizing the potential of every person, developing their talents, and fostering a patriotic and socially responsible personality.
According to Murat Kumpilov, the work on the development of the education system within the framework of state programs, projects of “United Russia”, national projects “Youth and Children”, “Family” is yielding results. In the republic, there is one hundred percent availability of preschool education, the share of schoolchildren studying in the second shift has decreased by almost 5.5%. Since 2019, 12 new schools and 18 kindergartens have been built, as well as 4 extensions to kindergartens. In the last 4 years, 28 schools and two kindergartens have undergone major renovations. The plan for this year is to complete 6 buildings of five kindergartens. This year, by September 1, 2 schools will be fully renovated.
The head of Adygea noted that the main result of this work is the success of the students. The majority of the republic’s graduates demonstrate good knowledge. To date, according to the results of the Unified State Exam (EGE) in the republic, there are 13 perfect scorers who have shown 14 perfect scores. This is the best indicator for the region. At the same time, the average score on the EGE results is higher than last year’s.
In Adygea, within the federal project “Professionalism” based on universities, educational clusters “Profimed” and “Center of Tourism and Service Industry” have been opened. In addition, there are seven institutions of secondary vocational education operating, with attention paid to training personnel for the tourism sector, agro-industrial complex, and regional industry. In the republic, children’s techno-parks “Quantorium” and “Growth Point” centers have been established.
Volunteering movement exists in all municipalities. The development of youth infrastructure in the republic was combined with the revival of the historical center of Maykop as part of the tourist code. In one of the historical buildings, a multifunctional center “Youth of Adygea” already operates. Annually, the youth gathering “Fisht” and other large forums are held. Last year, Adygea entered the top 10 of the all-Russian rating of the effectiveness of the implementation of state youth policy.
Dmitry Chernyshenko and Murat Kumpilov also discussed measures for the development of youth sports and the holding of sporting events. Over 5 years, the share of residents systematically engaged in physical education and sports has increased by almost 13% and now amounts to 60.8%. The total number of sports facilities has exceeded 1,000, with more than half of them located in rural areas.
“I want to emphasize once again that in resolving key issues we rely on the support of the federal center. We solve tasks comprehensively. In total, this year 16.6 billion rubles should be directed to national projects, federal and regional state programs. We are doing a lot so that the republic is attractive for investments, comfortable for living, and a popular place for recreation.
