Moscow, June 25 /Xinhua/ — The new Russian Yak-130M training combat aircraft has made its first flight. This was reported on Thursday by the press service of the Russian state corporation “Rostec.”
The first flight of the experimental aircraft took place at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant — a branch of PJSC “Yakovlev” of the United Aircraft Corporation, located in “Rostec”.
It is indicated that the flight mission was fully completed, there are no remarks regarding the aircraft.
“The first flight of the Yak-130M is an important stage in the development program of Russian training and combat aviation. The aircraft combines modern technologies, expanded functional capabilities, and a high potential for solving a wide range of tasks in the interest of the customer,” said the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Gennady Abramenkov.
Yak-130M is an advanced combat training aircraft created on the basis of the Yak-130.
