Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova congratulated the graduates of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia.

T. Golikova: Dear graduates of the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov!
Congratulations on completing an important stage – obtaining higher education and a pass to the next life milestone.
A new chapter begins for all of you, which each will write with their own labor, talent, and dedication to the cause. Some will continue their education in graduate school, residency, or postgraduate studies to improve their professional knowledge. Some will go to various corners of our country, where attentive, competent doctors are especially awaited—doctors capable not only of treating but also of building a healthcare system locally. And some will dedicate themselves to scientific research to push the boundaries of what is possible and open new directions in medicine.
A particular pride is evoked by the scale of the 2026 graduating class. Today, 4,730 young specialists are leaving the university walls, among whom 729 are foreign citizens. The geography of the graduates covers 77 regions of Russia and 56 countries – this is clear evidence that Russian medical education remains in demand and respected worldwide.
Sechenov University is a hub for talented youth, where true professionals capable of meeting the complex challenges of our times are formed. You will not only continue the glorious traditions of domestic medicine but also strengthen the technological leadership of our country. The university has provided you with both fundamental knowledge and tools for implementing innovations, and now it depends precisely on you what medicine and healthcare will be like tomorrow.
Regardless of your future path, the alma mater will always remain a support. Teachers and mentors have invested their knowledge and a piece of their soul in you. For us, your professional growth is always a reason for pride.
