Beirut, June 24 /Xin Hua/ — Israel has no other choice but to completely withdraw its troops from Lebanese territories. This was stated on Tuesday by the Secretary-General of the Hezbollah movement, Naim Qassem, emphasizing that the ceasefire agreement must be fully implemented.

As reported by the local TV channel “Al-Manar”, N. Kasem said that “Hezbollah” and Lebanon have entered a “new phase”, characterized, according to him, by the failure of Israel’s attempts to eliminate the group.

The movement leader stated that resistance remains the only guarantee of Lebanon’s liberation, independence, and sovereignty. He accused the USA and other international parties of failing to fulfill obligations under the 2024 ceasefire agreement.

N. Qasem also highly appreciated the support of “Hezbollah” and Lebanon in the conflict from the side of Iran, stating that the cooperation between the two sides contributed to the continuation of the confrontation.

Speaking about the post-conflict agreement, it called for the implementation of five key requirements: the complete cessation of Israeli attacks from the air, land, and sea; the full withdrawal of Israeli troops from Lebanese territory and the deployment of the Lebanese army in the south of the country; the release of detainees; the return of residents to border areas; and restorative work.
