Yesterday, June 22, a traditional bike ride was held, organized by the Youth Council of PJSC “KAMAZ” with the support of the company’s trade union committee, dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow. KAMAZ employees also joined the memorial event “Candle of Memory.”
The event was attended by the youth of “KAMAZ”, trade union activists, professional leaders, and heads of the automotive giant, representatives of the working youth of the city, students, deputies, volunteers, and families with children. The traditional bike ride started at 2:45 in Pobedy Park at the memorial to the heroes who fell in the Great Patriotic War. Before the start, the participants were addressed by the Chairman of the Youth Council of PJSC “KAMAZ”, Aleksey Tarabukin, and the Deputy Chairman of the United Primary Trade Union Organization of PJSC “KAMAZ”, Aleksandr Shuralev.The company trade union representative recalled the tragic figures of the war and emphasized that after decades, the feat of the veterans remains a moral guide for KamAZ employees. Alexander Shuralyov also noted that the enterprise team continues the tradition of mutual assistance, regularly sending humanitarian aid to the special military operation zone.
The running route went along the city’s main avenues, and the cyclists finished near the “Motherland” memorial. Here, the assembled were joined by the Deputy General Director for Security of “KAMAZ” Siren Galiakberov and the Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Nail Magdeev. Together with other activists, they took part in the solemn and mourning event “Candle of Memory,” honored the memory of fallen heroes, and laid flowers at the Eternal Flame.
