Participants of the competition at the award ceremony
Setl Group held a contest for the development of a small architectural form among students of SPbGASU studying in the direction of “Landscape Architecture.” The participants designed an object for the residential complex “City of Stars,” which is being built in Novosaratovka near St. Petersburg.
The competition started on April 23. Five student teams participated. Four teams reached the final presentation of projects, which took place at the co-working office on Ushakovskaya Embankment. The task was to design an art object that would form a unique image of the welcoming zone of Star Alley and enhance the identity of the entire residential quarter. At the same time, the object had to combine artistic expressiveness, functionality, and integration into the proposed surrounding development.
The winner of the contest was team number 1. The basis of their idea is a small architectural form — images of the moon and stars. The winning team consists ofDarya Bedenko, Ekaterina Chepur, Ksenia Fedosova, Anna VasyanovichиAdriana Smolenskaya. They played with the image of the residential complex “City of Stars” in their work and developed not only an original but also a functional solution. Young specialists created a vivid example of an art object, a point of attraction, equipped with places to relax and effective lighting. And the project with detailed refinements lies at the core of a real artistic object in the residential complex.
Project of the winners
“We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and thoroughness of the task, which was demonstrated by all participants,” noted the head of the Quality Characteristics Formation Department of the Setl Group project.Vera Malasova.– Despite their youth, the students set a high bar and honorably went through the path from idea to strict compliance with the technical assignment. I can say that among the teams, a tense struggle unfolded, each jury member had their own projects-leaders. All the guys did well. Their work is distinguished by a worthy level of presentation and can compete with professional designers.
Students who took first, second, and third places received prizes from the Setl Group holding company, and all participants received commemorative diplomas.
