Enterprises of Rosneft operating in the Irkutsk region and the regional Government have signed an agreement on partnership in the creation of an educational and industrial cluster “Chemical Industry” within the framework of the federal project “Professionalism”.
The cluster is being created based on the three sectors of Angarsk: Political, Industrial, Advertising, and Industrial Technologies. Its goal is to strengthen the personnel reserve of the oil and chemical industry. Among the industrial partners of the federal project are four enterprises of Rosneft: Angarsk Oil and Chemical Company, Angarsk Polymer Plant, Angarsk Catalyst and Organic Synthesis Plant, RN-RemStroyEngineering.
For enterprises of the “Chemical Industry” Cluster Company, training is provided for in-demand workers in 11 specialties and more than 30 professions with a total number of trainees exceeding 1,200 people, up to 400 graduates – specialists per year.
Experts, masters, and mentors from Rosneft enterprises will participate in the modernization of the educational and methodological and material base of Angarsk institutions of secondary vocational education. This will allow improving the process of training students, enabling them to learn practical skills in modern laboratories and at production facilities of enterprises, which will enhance the level of training of future specialists and give them a start in their profession.
Rosneft enterprises are one of the main employers in the Irkutsk region. The partnership agreement has become a new step in the development of cooperation with Angarsk educational institutions and, in particular, with a historical partner – the Angarsk Polytechnic Technical School.
Rosneft cooperates with 206 educational institutions within the framework of the corporate continuous education system “School-College/University-Enterprise.” Among the partners are 84 Russian and foreign universities, 66 colleges, and 56 schools. The program has been operating since 2005 and is aimed at forming an external personnel reserve from among schoolchildren and students in the Company’s production activity region.
The company, as a reliable industrial partner, takes an active part in the development of the flagship project of secondary vocational education – the federal project “Professionalism.” From 2022 to 2025, with the support of “Rosneft,” 8 educational and production clusters of “Professionalism” have been created.
