Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak held a meeting on the fuel market situation with the participation of representatives from federal executive authorities and industry companies.
Within the framework of the meeting, the results of monitoring the situation in the domestic fuel market regarding current pricing parameters were presented. The situation with deliveries of petroleum products to regions was also considered, and the level of accumulated stocks was assessed.
FAS reported on the measures being taken aimed at preventing unjustified price increases for petroleum products and suppressing violations of antitrust legislation. It was noted that control over the fuel market situation is carried out on an ongoing basis.
Separate attention in the meeting was paid to the issues of ensuring fuel supply to agricultural producers during the seasonal fieldwork period. The indispensability of unconditional and timely provision of the agro-industrial complex’s needs with necessary resources was emphasized.
Industry company representatives reported on the measures being implemented to saturate the domestic fuel market, maintain a stable pricing situation, increase the volumes of petroleum product production, as well as on the commissioning of new production capacities.
Alexander Novak instructed the specialized agencies to ensure the preparation of a balanced plan of measures aimed at maintaining the stability of the domestic fuel market, taking into account the existing mechanisms of regulation. FAS has been instructed to continue continuous monitoring of the pricing situation in the industry and, if necessary, promptly take appropriate measures.
