Beijing, June 22 /Xin Hua/ — A detachment of warships of the People’s Liberation Army Navy of China (PLA Navy) will visit Russia in the third decade of June upon the invitation of the Russian Navy. The detachment will include the ships “Qi Jiguang” and “Kunlunshan.” This was reported on Monday by the Ministry of National Defense of the PRC.
The ministry stated that the militaries of China and Russia will conscientiously implement the consensus reached between the heads of the two states, strive for the constant expansion of practical cooperation in various fields, and play a positive role in deepening China-Russia relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction in a new era.
