Washington, June 20 /Xinhua/ — U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday that he expects to conclude a final agreement with Iran within 60 days after signing a memorandum of understanding.

If within 60 days, starting from Thursday, the deal is not reached, “we will take measures that will not please you,” the American leader said in a speech at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. “But I don’t think it will come to that,” added D. Trump.

According to the memorandum, both parties are obliged to conduct negotiations and reach a final agreement within a maximum of 60 days. This period may be extended by mutual agreement.

Negotiations between the USA and Iran, scheduled for Friday in Switzerland, were postponed. Neither side gave an official explanation.
