In several neighborhoods of the city of Zhengzhou in Henan province, thematic events on the topic of safety took place in the run-up to the Dragon Boat Festival. The events combined familiarization with folk customs, education on safety issues, and useful services for neighborhood residents. Participants gathered bundles of wormwood and made fragrant sachets — symbols of the Dragon Boat Festival, while simultaneously studying basic safety principles. Such events allow the tradition of the holiday to be passed on to the next generations, as well as contribute to creating a calm and harmonious atmosphere in local communities.
