The Ufa Project Institute of Rosneft has expanded the capabilities of the Unified Catalog of 3-D products. Specialists have developed over 250 dynamic models of parts and equipment, which have accelerated work and improved the accuracy of industrial facility design.

A dynamic 3-D product is a three-dimensional model that has the property of movement, changes in shape, parameters, or interaction with the surrounding environment during the process of visualization or use. Such models can include animation, simulation of physical processes, or adaptation to changes in real time.

One dynamic 3-D model on average replaces more than a thousand combinations of a single product. For example, with the help of a dynamic model of an air cooling unit used in compressor stations, a designer can select in a few minutes the parameters of the unit suitable for specific operating conditions (dimensions, design, material, etc.) and obtain its technical description for project documentation.

All dynamic models are developed based on current regulatory documents, which guarantees compliance with industry standards and ensures high efficiency of design solutions.

As of today, the Unified Catalog contains more than 150 thousand 3-D items — three-dimensional parts and units of equipment, serving as the basis for creating informational models of capital construction objects. The catalog is actively used by the “Rosneft” institutes during the design of facilities, plant sites, pipelines, and other industrial objects.

The practical application of new developments has already demonstrated impressive results. Tomsk engineers, using dynamic products, created a three-dimensional model of the country’s largest oil pumping station with an area of 100 ha. This project became one of the winners of the All-Russian competition “TIM Leaders 2025”. Designers from the Samara Institute developed a digital twin complex of buildings and structures for the preparation and transportation of products from the deposits of “Orenburgneft”. The created model combines more than 96,000 3-D objects linked to the construction schedule.

The company “Rosneft” continues to expand the potential of information technology modeling, implementing advanced solutions to improve the efficiency of design and construction of industrial facilities.
