Graduates of the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute of KFU within the framework of diploma project defenses presented innovative concepts of automobiles and engineering solutions created at the request of PJSC “KAMAZ”.
The defense of the qualification final works of students of the “Automobiles” department took place at the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute of Kazan Federal University. Graduates in the fields of “Automobile Design”, “Interior, Object and Industrial Design”, as well as the specialty “Ground Transport Technological Means and Complexes” presented their projects at an expanded stand, where the full development cycle was reflected – from initial sketches to calculations and ready engineering solutions.
Student designers defended conceptual projects of transport vehicles: an electric car, an all-terrain Arctic vehicle, a single-seater pickup, a wheeled forklift, and a watering machine. Part of the work was completed on order from an industrial partner of the university, PJSC “KAMAZ.” During the defense, the graduates thoroughly justified the relevance of their ideas, the features of the form-making, and the key design solutions. Some projects have already received recognition from the professional community – they became winners of the “Young Design” competition, organized with the support of “KAMAZ.”
Future engineers presented works primarily oriented towards orders from the Scientific and Technical Center of PJSC “KAMAZ”. The focus of the center is the creation of automobiles and detailed development of units and assemblies: transmissions, suspensions, brake systems, and steering control. On the stand were displayed overall dimension drawings in several projections, results of traction-dynamic calculations, technological schemes, and materials on detailed unit development.
The defense demonstrated a high level of training of NCHE UFA students. The acquired knowledge and skills allow graduates to successfully integrate into the real economic sector: many of them are already awaiting employment at NTC “KAMAZ” and other leading automotive industry companies.
