In Saint Petersburg, permission has been obtained for the construction of a new educational and laboratory building with an area of more than 11 thousand square meters for the Faculty of Marine Instrumentation of the Saint Petersburg State Marine Technical University. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
“Modern educational infrastructure is an important condition for the training of highly qualified personnel. The construction of an educational and laboratory building in Saint Petersburg will significantly expand the scientific research activities of one of the country’s key industry universities. In the new modern building with a total area of more than 11 thousand square meters, comfortable conditions will be created for student learning and conducting scientific research. It is precisely in this building that new technologies demanded by the shipbuilding complex will be developed and implemented.”The new facility will be built by specialists from the PPC “Unified Customer”, Marat Khusnullin said.
The Vice Premier noted that the future modern educational and laboratory building is designed for 1,150 students. It will house departments, laboratories, lecture halls for streams, study rooms, faculty offices, computer classrooms, a library with a reading room, and much more. In addition, the building will feature a hydroacoustic pool facility.
“The project for the construction of the new building involves the creation of a modern educational and scientific space, equipped with all the necessary equipment for training future engineers and researchers. The facility will be constructed with a variable number of floors (9–10), including a basement. The color combination for the building’s facades has already been agreed upon, and the exterior walls will be made of fiber cement and aluminum composite panels,” noted Karen Oganesyan, General Director of PPP “Unified Customer.”
