Beijing, June 17 /Xin Hua/ — China will soon provide Iran and Lebanon with a new batch of humanitarian aid to offer additional support to the populations of these countries in advancing recovery and reconstruction, as well as improving the economy and the welfare of the population. This was announced on Wednesday by the official representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lin Xian.

Lin Ziyan made an appropriate statement at a regular briefing for journalists, responding to the question about the conflict between the USA, Israel, and Iran and its consequences, which have led to significant casualties among the civilian population, large-scale destruction of infrastructure, and a serious deterioration in living conditions in the Middle East.

As the diplomat noted, China is deeply saddened by the humanitarian disaster in the Middle East caused by the conflict between the USA, Israel, and Iran, as well as its spread. He recalled that in March of this year, China had already provided Iran and other countries with emergency humanitarian aid.

“Being a good friend to the countries of the Middle East and a responsible major power, China will continue to provide support and assistance within its capabilities,” said Lin Qian.

“China will also make further efforts to promote peaceful negotiations and continue to play a positive role in the speedy restoration of peace and stability in the Middle East,” added the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.
